Frequently AskedQuestions
What makes Jennifer Elizabeth Designs different from other web designers?
What is your turnaround time?
That depends on the scope project and your response time. Details are outlined in your contract, but generally:
Most done-with-you websites take 2 weeks or less if all deadlines are met. (Rush work will incur an additional fee).
Branding and logo design is usually around 1-2 weeks depending on revisions, customization, and complexity.
Collateral design is typically less than a week, again depending on revisions.
Social Media templates can take a few days to a few weeks, depending on how many are being created.
Ongoing/recurring work (such as marketing management or website support) is completed as outlined in your contract.
What do I need to do to be prepared for a website?
If you are just launching your business, you need to have your business plan completed: name, services being offered, and a good idea of your vision and message. Knowing the “feel” you want for your business is important – bold and fun or calm and comforting? Most importantly, you need to know your ideal client and what pain points you are solving. Everything else – I’ll help you create!
What do I need to do to be prepared for Marketing Content Packages?
You will need branding and your logo in order for me to design branded marketing. You’ll need to provide me access to your social media platforms, email service provider, and/or blog. You’ll also need a small amount of time to approve content before it goes live.
You will need to provide me with some idea of your desired content each month: your services, specials, message, or a full “content calendar”. Or, we can meet for monthly strategy sessions where help you plan all this with ease!
What is the difference between a "Two-Week Website" and "Ready, Set, Website!"?
Ready, Set, Website! are template websites designed for start up businesses to get a beautiful website that’s ready to covert visitors to clients, but at a starter-friendly price and with no tech headaches. You choose your template design and plug in your content; I install set up all the tech and provide you step-by-step guides for content creation and site customization.
Two-Week Websites are custom and designed to meet the unique needs of entrepreneurs who are ready to invest to grow their business. They are much more robust and I work closely with you to support you and create your content.
What platform do you build websites on?
For my custom builds I use the Divi page builder, and my clients get the benefit of my Divi license at no extra cost. I’m also happy to work in Elementor if you already have a license.
In rare cases where another platform is genuinely a better fit for your specific situation – such as a website builder you’re already comfortable with – I’m open to that conversation. But for the vast majority of the businesses I serve, WordPress is the right choice and what I’ll almost always recommend. If you’re not sure what’s right for you, I’ll help you figure it out!
How much does a website cost?
My Ready, Set, Website! offering is $497, a beginner-friendly price point for entrepreneurs who need a beautiful, professional website without the custom build timeline.
My Two-Week Websites are $4,500 for entrepreneurs ready to invest in growth. Packed with value and fully custom, these aren’t just website builds – they’re complete online business foundations. They’re messaging-focused, beautifully designed, and optimized for AIO and SEO so your site is ready to attract clients and make sales from day one.
Additional pages, content, or custom features may affect final pricing – I’ll always give you a clear quote before we proceed. The best way to get accurate pricing is to book a consultation. I’ll listen to your needs and give you a clear picture of what’s involved. The consultation fee is $100, which is deducted from your project cost if you choose to move forward – and even if you don’t, you’ll walk away with a written plan to get the website of your dreams.
What if I don't need an entire website?
What is a lead magnet?
Having an email list is an extremely valuable asset; use your list to nurture your clients and increase sales by sending newsletters, education and specials to your clients. Most importantly, you own and control your list (just like your website) – unlike Social Media where you can not control who sees your content and which is constantly changing.
Lead magnets should bring value to your clients (should help them survive or thrive!) but should not cost you a great deal. Examples are free services, discounts, or downloadable assets (such as an eBook, workbook, or PDF).
Do you work with clients anywhere, or are you local only?
